The images of thousands of people storming the borders of the Spanish exclave of Ceuta sent chills down the spine of many in Spain and across Europe who have tried to walk the fine line between the need for migrant workers and the rising anti-immigration sentiment echoed by radical right parties all over the continent.

As CNN’s Jomana found out, there are few places where that paradox plays out as vividly as it does in Spain’s province of Almería, Europe’s vegetable garden, which is fuelled in great part by migrant-labour.
